COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT DO I GET WHEN I BOOK A CRYBABY SHOOT?
A massive part of what you’re buying into with a crybaby production is our creative IP. We will come up with an idea/concept that is bang on for your brand and delivers to all objectives.
A crybaby level shoot includes all the bells and whistles; we handle all the creative and provide you with a clear creative treatment before the shoot day so we are all on the same page. A crybaby treatment includes a look and feel, storyboards and references – nothing is left to chance.
We always talk you through what the plan is for shoot day and make sure we are all on the same page. Confidence is key going into these huge days.
SHOOT SCHEDULE & CALL SHEET
It might not seem like a big deal, but our shoot schedules are a matrix of how to best run the day so we maximise what we can achieve. We make sure client and team are all 100% across this schedule ahead of the day so that no time is lost. We often are up against the clock in a big way but we have never missed a deliverable!
You can expect to be welcomed into part of our team on shoot day. We value our client’s input and everyone from our stylist to our most senior cinematographer wants to hear what you think. Speak up and talk to us – the magic happens from collaboration and no one understands your brand better than you.
Our crew will vary depending on the scope of the job but we have the very best cinematographers, photographers, style teams, hair and makeup in the business. They are all incredible talent and this is one thing we refuse to compromise on and the reason crybaby content looks as good as it does. We will hand-pick every team member based on who is best for the job. We have cinematographers who are incredible at underwater and location shooting for example and then our beauty team are second to none.
Catering is usually included as a line item in our quotes. No need to bring a thing! Just let us know any dietry requirements ahead of the shoot and we will make sure everyone is happy and fed.
We move quickly. IT can feel overwhelming if you’re not used to a crybaby set but don’t worry. We have it completely under control and we know what is achieveable in the time set. We will always manage your expectations along the way and we will push back when and if creative is being compromised. Our goal is to achieve the creative we have all signed off on and deliver the very best. And this always happens.
We will ask for client sign off on every deliverable as we capture it. With stills, if time permits, we mark up selects from what we are shooting as we go so that the final selection is much easier for you. With video, we make sure you’re across what is being shot and a client viewing monitor is always there for you to see every frame.
Following the shoot, we will send you all the selects we marked up on the day. OR the very best of what was shot, for you to make your final selection. Then, we have these retouched and then we deliver the high res version via Dropbox!
We have two rounds of changes that we ask our clients to work to. This means we keep to schedule and everyone consolidates their feedback so we don’t run over edit time. So, you will receive the first edit, send us your teams consolidated feedback, we will then action those changes and send you version 2 for feedback. We do an online editor grade only, unless you have requested a external colour grade with a colourist (which is an additional fee and not needed unless content is being used on television or on large screen formats). We then send you the final edits via a dropbox link once everyone has signed off and happy!
